Help What happened to the dramatic screen close

When I would shut the screen off, the phone's screeb used to close out like an old TV turning off.

I did have launcher pro. I restored the phone back to factory specs. It came back momentarily. I've kept motoblur but now the cool close out is gone. Any ideas?
