What does the app do? Whats the point of it?

It's a way of being social, in an all in one app. Wifi calling, sharing, chatting, etc. Go to Metro's site and read about it.

Look at the original date of this thread. Joyn is ancient history and is long gone, it was a Metro app from back when they were a CDMA service and before T-Mobile bought them. It no longer exists.
