What is LGATCMD Service?

What is LGATCMD Service? I find it running on my myTouch Q (LGE LG-C800).

Is there a source on the 'net for Android and third party processes which run on Android phones?

tl;dr: It's the Android-side of LG's application suite to manage your phone from your PC.

So then uninstalling this would affect my ability to transfer files between my phone and computer or my ability to use lg flash/adb, is that correct? Best to leave it then. Thank you for your answer!
