There is a background task that sometimes starts chewing up CPU when I'm not listening to any music or using any media/music players. It's called "Music Enhancer" and I think it is HTC specific. It cannot be disabled or uninstalled and is usually accompanied by "Sound Set". I noticed my phone getting hot when I wasn't using it and used Android Task Manager each time this happens to examine real-time processes and those two processes are always in the top 3 or 4 processes for CPU usage. Then they go away later.
This started happening after transferring a very large music collection to the phone from my PC by drag and drop. I'm guessing it is analyzing all the files. I don't use/want Beats audio, but even if it has to do with that, I suppose if I can disable it I can't disable. I suppose I could use JuiceDefender or something to always shut it down?
Just really want to know exactly what the heck its doing?
