Help What is "normal" battery usage for Android OS?

I have had a Samsung Galaxy S2 on AT&T since it's launch and just recently the battery has began draining quicker. I've noticed the Android OS and Android System have been using more battery than normal. What could be causing this? I haven't upgraded to the new firmware since it's such a shoddy upgrade. Below are the screen shots of my battery usage.

Thank you all.

I am running all stock. I had did the ota update the first day it was available but reverted back with Odin one click. Everything was fine for about two weeks then out of the blue the android os and android system jumped higher than normal. I didn't change or do anything else.

Well I just checked and my baytery, off the charger at 9 am. Its 430 pm. Now, is at 60% full. I guess its all good no?

I don't think that charging is normal, no. But you might have alot of stuff running like wifi which might slow down charging. I have wifi and data both turned off during charging and it goes fast. Try turning those off and then charge.

edit: I just reread your posts and see my answer doesn't apply. But the principle is the same, running down the battery depends on wifi and data services and voice calls. If you have a lot of that going on, it will wear it down fast. I don't think in your case android os and system are the culprits. That is not completely awful battery life, though. It could be better if you turn off wifi and data when not in use.

Same as going in to "Wireless and network" and turning "flight mode on"?

I've been running mine since 8 am this morning on a full charge I have 11 hours on it most all of it on WiFi, and have used 60% of my battery, most of it, 40% is display 18% android sys, 14% voice calls.

I got an OTA upgrade to 2.3.6, and sent it back to 2.3.4 with Odin. I keep getting notices to upgrade software, which I ignore. Not going back there until 4.0. X Ice Cream Sandwich gets debugged first.

Reload an Odin One Click and see if the problem goes away.
