I love my Kasa Powerstrips. I can plug in up to 6 gadgets with one strip along with 3 USB slots. So for example: One powerstrip in my livingroom has 2 laptops, an electric throw, a space heater and a small fan plugged in and my window shade is plugged into the USB to charge it. When I am not using those items I can cut their power at the outlet thus avoiding potential overloads. The strip is also a surge protector so no worries during thunderstorms if the power flickers. The strip is controlled by the Kasa app or Alexa.
We do like our smart plugs (no Treb, not that kind of plug) - we can tell Alexa (aka "bimbo in a bowling ball") to turn on the fan. Fan comes on. We put our interior Christmas lights on smart plugs and set up a routine so they all turn on at the same time, and turn off at the same time. We have Philips Hue lights all over the place: our bedroom lights are a low-power blue to help us ease into a sleep mode and wake up from it.
I use 1 smart plug for my router at home, which resets and refreshes any network issues that happen with my current ISP.
So far, no network issues like I used to have.
