Looks like a messaging app notification. Swipe down from that notification bar on your phone and you should see what is displaying that icon.

Thank you guys. Yes, I know it is a text notification, my issue is when I try to open it there is nothing. This is the reason why I want to know the name of the app.

Long press on the notification. That should allow you to identify the app and open it manually.

Usually it's just called "Messaging" or "Messages" on many phones, depending on who manufactured it.

If it's not opening from the notification drop down menu, no sweat, just open messages from your app drawer and find the shortcut icon there....
