Help What is the best modem for the Samsung Captivate running Serendipity VII

I like S7 but lost a little signal strength and in some parts don't get a signal at all when I used to get some running stock AT&T OS. S7 comes with JV6 or at least that is what I have now. Is there another modem that works better?
