Root what is the gps problem?

I just baught this phone for boost yesterday at bestbuy. Ive read that there is a problem with gps. Im not sure what the problem is.

i tested the gps on the way home and it showed me driving down the right streets on google maps.


so what is the problem that people are experiencing?

In my case, GPS performance deteriorated over the period of a month or two to where it would take many minutes to acquire a gps lock and sometimes would not lock at all. This would often cause google-navigation problems.

It has had brief periods where GPS worked OK, but those have been rare. I've finally given up on it and typically leave GPS turned off.

One thing that I found that helped was that if I switched WiFi on even without being connected, it helped get a more accurate location, (not necessarily locking on to you though)

I don't think that even matters as long as GPS is turned on to use data network.
