This may sound stupid, but I plugged my phone into my TV expecting to watch video I had shot. And guess what appeared on my TV screen.... no signal... Am I wrong in assuming this should work ? Or am I leaving out an important step in the setup ? The manual they give you with this phone doesn't explain much. Can anyone help.

Go into settings then chose connectivity then select automatically start HDMI when the cable is connected in the HDMI tab. Should work then.

also not all hd tv will be compatible with the hd signal comming from the micro hd cable. i have a 37 inch vizio made in 2008 and it wont take the image yet i plug it into my samsung 55 inch led tv and it picks it up fine, and then i plug it into my other 32 vizio hd tv monitor and it picks it up fine seems like older models are less likely to work with our phones , just a theory not yet confirmed!
