Help What is the LTE Version?

I'm thinking of getting a Note 3. I have seen two versions listed on Amazon in Europe one of them says it's the LTE version .....Is this a different/scaled down version?

I'm a complete newbie with regard to the the Galaxy Note and don't want to end up buying the wrong one

Thanks in advance for any help

Depending where you are it might not even be worth getting the LTE version. Even here in Central London I disabled LTE as the reception is shocking and as a result the phone keeps changing to 3G / HSPA+ back and forth which is killing the battery.

So yes, I paid extra for the LTE version with LTE permanently disabled - great move :o

If you have rooted your phone there is an application called "Advanced Signal Status" available in the Google Play store that allows you to lock your signal to 4G LTE only, or HSDPA only or 2G GSM only. Search for it or if you can't find it click on the Web link below to go directly to it.

Thanks but the Note got a stock setting to disable 4G anyway :)

Indeed but I only pointed that out because I find when you lock it to LTE then it still finds and uses the signal even if you live in an area with very low LTE availability.

There are buildings around me and I know that if I lay back and relax, then the signal will always skip back to HSDPA+, where as if I sit up then the signal will go to 1 or 2 bars of 4G LTE.

So thats why I pointed out the availability to lock onto the LTE signal as I find it much faster using 1 bar LTE than a strong HSDPA signal. The application allows you to make up your own mind concerning whether you want to switch to HSDPA when LTE signal is low or not, rather than the phone deciding for you & leaving you without the chance to experience the new data speeds.
