What is the purpose of carrying around a extra micro sim card for your android galaxy 3? My husband is a big computer Geek and carries the micro SD cards and USB storage so he can move information and file from office to home because he also works from home sometimes. So not clear why you would carry a extra micro sim card if your phone has dual sim?

The only real point of a SIM is that it gives you another number/account.

I assume it is active and when he wants access to that account he pops it in.

One reason could be that the SIM he carries has unlimited mobile data, unlike the others. Or minutes. Or texts. Or a faster data connection.

Mostly, I would think a person carries it for it would be access to another number/account

I only mentioned that a possible scenario is access to another account. I even called out a few of the possible reasons - such as "unlimited or faster data". Though there are dozens of possibilities.

He could be keeping the calls and data separate.

This is the part I don't get. Are we saying he has three (presumably) working SIMs? Two in the phone and then he carries one physically?

Does he work in a tech firm as an IT or system administrator? If so he probably has been issued an account from whatever company he works for.

Why have one phone for personal use and a work phone instead of just having one device? :thumbup:
