what is this icon?

I can barely make it out. It could be a printer, it could be a little Android Robot or it could be a frog. If you have access to the phone, just pull down the notification bar, long-press the notification and it will tell you which app generated the icon. If this is on someone else's phone that you suspect of doing something inappropriate, then the best course of action is to ask them.

we get this question almost on a daily basis. you have to keep in mind that there are million of apps available each with their own unique icon notification associated with it......that is a lot of icons!!!!! so unless it is a very popular app, most here can only give you a guess as to what it is.
the only true way of knowing is to go to the phone's settings and look under notifications. or even just pulled down the quick notification menu to see what it is. but as it is in most of these threads we see here in AF, the phone is usually inaccessible for one reason or another. thus going into the phone is not an option.
