What is this notification icon for???

I just received a notification from a person with a link, though I have no idea what the notification is and I do not want to click on the notification to find out which program it is because I do not want it to open the link. Anyone know what the second notification icon at the top of my phone is from?

I don't recognize the icon, but if you're using Jelly Bean or later (maybe ICS too), you can long-press on the notification to bring up a context menu, which will include "App Info". Selecting "App Info" will bring you to the application management page for that app, without opening the app or taking any other action.

If you want to verify that this is supported by your Android version first, try doing the same thing on an icon you recognize.
