That could be any number of a million apps out there.

yep no clue. we get this almost every day. like @Dannydet explained there are millions of apps out there with notification icons. so unless it is a popular app like facebook or netflix.....who knows. the only true way of knowing is looking into the phone's notification to see what it is. but usually 99.9% of the time access to the phone is not an option. it is also easier to just ask the person who's phone it is.
