thanks in advance!

Really I don't know but....

Custom ROM I'd say it's a feature, possibly roaming, sketchy website, battery or data usage warnings.

If stock ROM, I'd throw in possible virus or hijacking.

Hmm, Thats what my calendar event alert looks like. But you're using an HTC and I a Samsung, so we may have different stuff.

thanks a lot for the replies!

I'm using the 2.1 android rom that released officially by lg for my phone (gt540)...

the calendar guess, seems matching the "icon concept" of the number in a square, but, although i have the calendar widget on a screen i have never used it and so there is not a reason for a notification.. :/

(maybe i should try to get an answer from the owners of the same phone !?)

Does it not have anything when you pull down the notification bar? Pull it down and see the notification itself.

ok i found what it is

it means that the "Line 1" of the sim is chosen.

My SIM has 2 lines although only one is working (i think) ,
the "double lines" is a feature on old sim cards (mine is about 8 years old maybe more)

under the menu "settings>call settings>additional settings>Select line" i can select between the Line 1 or Line 2 ..

it looks like i can't hide the indicator, but at least i know what it is

thanks for the replies!
