What is xbmc?? Please

Just wondering what is xbmc someone mentioned it to me I have had a look but can't make any sense of it.

Oh thankyou. I thought it was this amazing thing as people was saying you can see all the latest films etc.

As im looking to buy a new phone this month and have been thinking best android or iPhone 6.

But one of my favourite things I'd utorrent and sopcast straight to my smart tv
 
i am not sure what it is but i know it's something to do with Xbox or Xbox 360. but i do wonder, is it some custom operating system? a ROM? or is it something that hackers do with the first generation (and unsupported by Microsoft) original Xbox?
 
XBMC is a media center it gives your media collection a netflix kind of a feel, not only does it keep everything all neatly organized it allows ya tp download media related content like cover art and general info about said media.Which then in return allows you to pick media out by artist actor genre etc.... This is personally what i am going to use when i finally get my pc built
 
there are tons of third party hacks to bring and older First-Generation Xbox console back to life, or should I say back to LIVE, although very buggy. i'm surprised people are even interested in what basically amounts to an 800MHz PIII with like 64MB of RAM...
 
There are many You-tubes on it, the app comes in many platforms, so depending on the device you want to install it on. Works great, if set up correctly !! They are changing the name soon to KODI FTR
 
I have a nice set up on a mx3 quad core xbmc box but would like to copy it / clone it easily without installing everything individually .

To make identical boxes for my family ..



Any help will greatly be appreciated

Hmmmmm Dont know about copy anything but if you was to how are you going to apply the info to the other box . there is no way to transfer . I Dont think you can perform if rooted . but xbmc is now kodi
 
Sounds more like what i can already do with a MyCloud drive attached to my local network. i can browse any videos stored on it via my Samsung TV and it organizes by name, type, and even a thumbnail image. i got an entire season of Hogan's Heroes reruns stored that way.
