What kind off speeds are you getting with the Galaxy S3 on metro pcs 4G LTE network?

I get around 1-3 MBPS with my LG Connect. I'm in the south florida area, where and what kind of speeds are you guys getting with that device?

On LG Motion - I'm averaging about 3.5 to 4 MBPS download and a bit less on upload.

Have a feeling that Metro is doing some tweaking of the system.

South Florida Area- Miami /Ft. Lauderdale (location added per Johnny O request below).

Update-on certain days/times the speed has gone lower to about half of what I posted above.

same speeds as before on my connect just the web pages load up a lot faster i think this has to do with better hardware. I have done some speedtests and have gotten insane upload speeds like 10 mbs but download is the same so i dont think they are entirely inaccurate or not doing much

Stuff loads up quicker depending, from my experience, on how high your CPU is set. Example: my moto xoom loaded up pages slowly clocked at 1ghz while connected to my admire 3g. Raised it to 1.5 and pages loaded almost instantly. Btw, I used chrome, it truly is faster than the stock browser

They have a different prl on the phone & some prls you get different speeds with so they might just have a different 1 so if any towers still have a capped 4G (for balancing speeds) this prl might go over the cap

Interesting-seems like MeWAtro is aiming now for about 4 Mbs for everyone.

You're saying they might raise this average slightly for the Galaxy-which makes sense IF they can do it to lure more of that type of customer from other Carriers.

If Galaxy S3 on Metro averaged 6 to 8 Mps -it would be a powerful marketing tool for the 4G LTE network and more will switch IMO .

Update around Thanksgiving Nov. 15 -22 been getting 6 and even 7 Gbs. Lately with occasional 4 to 5 so looking good.

ahh well with my esteem i was getting no where near 6mbps most probably 4 even 5mbps now! with my new S3 this thing wants to hit 7mbps both upload and download!!

Sorry to burst the bubble here, but I have the SGS3 for Metro... I get the same ******* speeds I got on my Esteem. (500kps at best) -.-.... Coral Springs, Fl. Needless to say, I am ready to snap someone's neck at Metro cause for $50 month, this is ridiculous.

damn that sucks man! i just think its ur area. have you seen other 4g usersin your area and their speeds?

if you're in a bad coverage area you're gonna get crap speeds no matter what phone you have.

No i havent. Not since i noticed my speeds dropping. I used to easily get 2.5. Was content with that. Ever since summer started, i have seen my speeds be halved.

true phone aint gonna give u faster speeds but take into consideration that this metro branded gs3 im holding in my hand comes with a different prl which is 2031 compared to to the 3032 on the esteem and my 4g speeds have increased almost 4 times. the lowest speed was on 3g when i turned off 4g and forced 3g to come on.
