Help What Makes the Stylus Special?

I only got my Note today but I'd say there's definitely something special about it as it won't work on my Galaxy S2 or my iPad which are both capacitive touchscreens.

It's because it's using Wacom digitizer tech beneath the screen. It's not a capacitive stylus. It's the same stuff used for pen inputs made by Wacom and a few other companies.

In other words, the stylus itself is not just a piece of plastic and I can't cut it off at any location if I need to shorten it. Correct?
