What preload for audible reminders?

What preloaded app do you like to use to give you audible reminders for your "todo" list? I've tried both "Task", and, simply, "Calendar". I couldn't get Task to give me scheduled audible reminders. Calendar did at first, performing well when tested.
Now, I just simply don't get them.

I use Calendar for todo items that are repeated. I use Tasks for things that I need to do and remember on the fly. For each app, you have to be sure to set the reminder each time you add a new todo.

So, with calendar, you can just set your reminder to sound off each day, same time, up until a certain day, hmm? I'm in! I must be discombobulating my config. somehow.

In the Calendar, in an event's details, scroll down and you'll see an option for Repeat and one for Reminder. Set the Repeat as you need. Tap the green plus sign next to Reminder to get your phone to play a sound. Save and you should be good to go.
