I might be leaving my incredible to come to the Droid X bc I'm having a lot of problems. I don't want to switch to another phone and have a lot of problems. I'm having random restarts, mms messages not downloading, blown speakers, email not working with aol. Yeah so what problems are happining with the Droid X?

The only problem I'm having is that my vision is getting blurry from staring at it all day.

With the phone, no problems whatsoever!

No problems with the phone itself but I'm not liking the browser options in Android. I've tried Opera, Skyfire, xScope, Dolphin and I prefer stock (which isn't all that great).

i have one tiny piece of dust under the screen. not sure if i can exchange it but whatever, i barely notice it

Not so much a problem rather than an observation but I was a bit disappointed with the performance of the UI. I noticed major lag/stuttering going from desktop screen to desktop screen and a few system crashes (with the Blockbuster app for example). I use a Nexus One and was surprised at the amount of crapware that is loaded on the Droid X and constantly running in the services. It certainly made me appreciate my vanilla OS.

The feature that really made me jealous though is the 8gb of internal storage for apps, etc... That is quite nice :)

I just wish we were allowed to remove a lot of the software that we don't want/plan to use. It would make this phone a beast. I know you can remove it through root but since it's not my phone (it's my gf's), I'm not gonna start messing with that (yet).

I had the Dinc before I got the X and by far it is a great device. Don't get me wrong the Incredible was nice but the X seems so much better.

I love my Droid X. I came from an original Droid that was rooted running Froyo 2.2. I have to say the only thing I really miss was Froyo and that will be here by August for the DX. I miss its speed, the Android browser's speed, and little things like Gmail app bug fixes and UI design changes.

The first 24 hours I had my Droid the battery only got to 25% and that was after a HEAVY first day's use.

As of now the current issues with the DX are mainly related to Android 2.1, which strikes me as weird considering phones like the N1 ran 2.1 flawlessly on a 1Ghz processor. Initial unlock and general UI lags are sometimes evident, but more are mitigated for me because I use Launcher Pro which has very good memory management, even for slower phones.

Other than that, I don't like that the camera is virtually flush with the case (necessitating a case) and I'm not too fond of the low volume for the speakerphone / media playback.

I can't really compare to the Dinc other than my buddy at work got one and there are some things that turn me off about it. First, it seemed to get slightly worse battery life than the Droid X, per his account. Second, the industrial design is just terrible on the Dinc. I don't like its plastic feel or uneven backing.

The DX has just the right amount of screen size and weight in my opinion. Reading news and website text is absolutely blissful on the DX. I've owned two iphones, the Droid, and have extensive use with the Eris and the DX is by the far the best yet.

Once Android 2.2 comes its game on.
