OK, I have stuck with the stock roms for this device since I purchased it. Am getting itchy feet, and am considering rooting it and flashing a custom rom. I've downloaded the official files so I can do this, although I believe there is an unofficial one that is not detectable by Archos (not that it matters - warranty is up on this thing now anyway.)
Ideally I would like to go to Jellybean. Is anyone running a custom Jellybean rom on the 80 G9 tablet that they would recommend? If not are there any better roms for ICS 4.04?
I'm only having one minor issue with the device - that being that sometimes it does not go into deep sleep and even puts the backlight on, killing the battery. If it does go into deep sleep the clock time goes out. Doesn't happen that often, usually worse after a reboot but once it's settled it usually behaves OK.
So that's it really. It's running really well, am pleased with it, just a little bored. I've upgraded my phone from Gingerbread to Jellybean (Neatrom) and and I really am chuffed to bits with that, so is it worth doing the same with my tablet?
