what rooted Tablet to.get for mom?

my mom loves her Galaxy s3..

would be nice to have a larger companion for browsing + youtbube + movies..

I am traveling far away.. but would love to help her manage / administer it for her (add / setup apps.. defaults.. space.. etc..)

so I am thinking to buy her a rooted Tablet and have a friend install something like VNC server on it ..

hmm I guess all such would have a warranty voided ..

hmm eBay is best bet?

which to get? (I hate that Samsung doesn't have red underline for misspelled words... but I guess mom is used to Samsung OS)

what / whete would you buy rooted tablet?

What tablet, is going to be subjective, but I'd probably recommend one of the note series if getting Samsung.and I'd just root it yourself(plenty guides etc) then forward it on to her when it's set up!
