Help what setting must i change so that when i get an sms it shows briefly at the top

at present i have to swipe down to make it show or i must open my sms app

this would be useful for when i get an OTP sms

If your device is still running Android 10, I believe they called it "Heads Up" notifications. See if you can spot that in your notification settings somewhere.

hi i fixed it by trial and error - i had to enable floating notifications
