Root What software load is best to root w/?

It doesn't matter as far as the root process with revolutionary goes.it works the same in both cases.
Depends largely what you want to do after. If you want to continue on a rooted stock rom,be aware that rooting prior to the ota will prevent you from taking it until you re-install the stock recovery. While this isn't a big deal,it may be easier to simply wait till after the ota.
If you wish to run a custom rom(even if its just a rooted stock rom) go ahead and root now. You're just going to change the rom anyway,so there's no benefit from waiting till after the ota.
One last scenario: if you just want to be s-off so you can install whatever RUUs you want,and have no intention of installing clockwork or installing root files,go ahead and do that now.
