Root what the heck, prevail.

so I flashed the livewallpapers app for CM7 and my phone has been a lot more prone to freezing as of late. Then I hard-reboot and everything is wiped clean. almost. default CM7 wallpaper, my app folders (some app for organizing other apps into folders with icons) are all still there but "cannot find" icons are there instead. SOME of my apps are still there but it's like some half-assed system wipe/restore.

Anyone else have this happen? I made a backup and I tried restoring it but after another freeze and reboot, everything is wiped again. all my widgets/etc are still in their place but suddenly nonexistant.

Maybe it's just dying from old age. I suppose I can avoid rebooting my phone from now until forever, unless it freezes again. ;-;

If push comes to shove I guess I'll just completely wipe everything and reinstall CM7.

I've found that by the time you spend all the time trouble shooting you could have started from scratch and be running a fresh ROM.

I would go ahead and wipe it if I were you. Lol, I've wiped both of my phones more than I care to count. :D
I could literally do it blind folded.
