Help What the hell is wrong with this phone?

My one x has been doing some seriously weird stuff lately. The screen flicker thing i believe is pretty standard - it was getting pretty bad but after i finally did the 2 sense updates its gotten better. My web browsers are somewhat regularly returning gibberish unicode instead of the website - does it mostly on dolphin but sometimes chrome also. Clearing the cache sometimes fixes it,somwtimes cycling my phone on and off is needed. The most disconcerting thing so far has been the vibe motor occaisionally just going off and not turning off for several seconds. It always seems to be related to hitting the back button but it has been in multiple apps: facebook, chrome, astro, galleries etc. The final thing that it did happened yesterday - i tried to do a facotry reset, backed up everything to sd card qnd then went through the steps. I have done a factory reset before and it worked...this time it didnt reset the phone, it erased the sd card. Lookout has been on since day one. Anyone have any ideas?

I use dolphin, and I've never had the issues you describe.

If you are happy with wiping it, I would be tempted to run an ruu on it. Never done this, but it essentially wipes the phone and then installs the os again from scratch. This should sort out if it is a software issue. If you still have issues, then I would return it.

Thank you ill try that out. I am also quite sure none of those are app issues but sense issues. I think the problem is that htc no longer makes good phones. Other than its fast mobile internet this phone has exclusively been a disappointment. I will never buy another. I would return it if i could but ive had it since the day it came out

Did you have it from a mobile supplier or did you buy a sim free HOX, as you mobile provider should repair your HOX for free.

It came from at&t. The problem is none of these things are issues i can reliably reproduce. Another problem is i dont have the time to do the back and forth necessary to exhaust potential fixes that can be done on this particular phone before replacement - between work and school i put in more than 100 hr a week. Im going to try the reinstall project mentioned above. Hopefully that will fix it and get me by until i can afford to throw this pos in the garbage.
