yep its called adware. it usually comes with an app your recently installed. i would delete any apps you installed recently starting with the most recent and work your way backwards. also before deleting i would delete cache and data first for the app and then uninstall the app.

Thanks ocnbrze! I found the culprit. When the ad came up, I tapped the recent apps button, scrolled to the ad, tapped the ad's icon at the top and tapped App info and found it was a barcode scanner app. Uninstalled the POS and problem solved. Funny thing is it wasn't recently installed. It's been installed for a long time and just started throwing up the ads today. Go figure!
The developer wanted to monetize. I miss the just doing because we can people. Lots of good stuff free back in the day.

The developer just monetized their crappy app right off my phone! lol
I wonder how PhotoBucket is doing? When they monetized they blocked anything you posted using them with a request for money. The images were gone.
That turned out to be a mistake.
