yep its called adware. it usually comes with an app your recently installed. i would delete any apps you installed recently starting with the most recent and work your way backwards. also before deleting i would delete cache and data first for the app and then uninstall the app.My Galaxy S20 FE has started presenting ads when I unlock it. What the hell is going on and how do I stop it from happening? Screenshot attached...
Thanks ocnbrze! I found the culprit. When the ad came up, I tapped the recent apps button, scrolled to the ad, tapped the ad's icon at the top and tapped App info and found it was a barcode scanner app. Uninstalled the POS and problem solved. Funny thing is it wasn't recently installed. It's been installed for a long time and just started throwing up the ads today. Go figure!yep its called adware. it usually comes with an app your recently installed. i would delete any apps you installed recently starting with the most recent and work your way backwards. also before deleting i would delete cache and data first for the app and then uninstall the app.
