What time ...

My local best buy is open at 10 am. I've got 2 on preorder and they say i'm gauranteed to get mine that day. They expect to get about 50 in stock and not sure how many preorders there are, but they aren't anticipating anything too big it seems. I wont be able to get there till around noon anyway so i hope the lines are gone by then.
 
yea my best buy opens at 10 am, i called in on monday to ask how many preorders they had. after assuring me that i'm getting mine on release day, he told me they had 20 preorders in. it's pretty good since this place is out in the burbs and not really in the city. i wonder how the other locations are doin with preorders. exciting stuff.
 
I stopped in at my corporate store last night, and of course they were tight lipped about quanity as well, but said he would be absolutely amazed if they sold out on Friday, by Monday maybe. He was going to get one for himself Friday morning. Said it is absolutely everything it is rumored to be, keyboard is not an issue. So I will probably roll in at opening. 8AM
 
One of my "local" stores is opening at 11:00 pm, I'll be there then, and anticipate picking up a Motodroid for myself, and likely a Eris for the wife.

I've got an appointment at 9am Friday to walk into my Verizon store and immediately get the phone. No standing in line, no waiting before the store opens. The store manager said that my phone will be waiting for me when I arrive.

Being a customer of VZW for 19 years has its advantages...
 
I'll be camping over night. Its just fun for me. Getting pizza and such.. sitting in my car parked overnight with a laptop for movies, a buddy of mine & my girlfriend, as well as 5 am coffee run. 1st in line for sure.

Ah to be young again :) Don't think the wife would understand a campout for a phone!
 
I did the camp out for the original PS2, it was 10 hours in northern midwest in November, and it was fun. In that case without doing it, there was ZERO chance of getting one. Heck if I don't have to I am not going to. though, and sounds like I don't need to.
