Hello I'm new to this forum. I'm deciding to buy a tablet jst for myself, I've had a Xoom and Asus before but those were for my children I want a "7" for myself that has a camera and lot of space for movies, music and books if that means an Nexus without an SD slot
The Nexus 7 with 32gb will do the job. That said, you mention movies. If you plan on storing a library of movies on your tablet, you can use a good chunk of storage pretty fast. If you plan on keeping two or three movies on the tablet and rotating, then you should be good. If you are streaming movies to the device, no storage worries at all.
FYI, the movie experience on the Nexus 7 is great. The screen is about as good as it gets on a tablet.
I'm out of the U.S., in Europe about 30% of my time and carry a fair amount of media on my N7 because wifi availability / performance can be an issue. Here is a typical on tablet "load out" for a trip.
About 600 songs
2 movies
7-8 books and magazines (not sure)
About 12 pictures in an album of my family
Various games (some pretty big)
Whatever apps I'm using or testing at the time.
So, if you get a 32 gb N7, you have about 28gb of usable space. With the "load out" described above I end up with about 16gb of free storage space left.
Consequently I think a Nexus7 could work for you. The big variable will be how many movies you are going to keep on the device because movies will have the largest impact on your storage. Overall, I have been very pleased with my N7. A "best value" device with not many compromises.
