What to do first with my Incredible 2

In the app hit menu>settings> and there is a box you can check/unchecked for "shake".

How do I navigate to the app hit menu? I'm pretty dumb with this stuff

Open the app. Press the menu button ( the soft key with the 3 little lines at the bottom of your device). Press the settings button. Look for the word shake.
