In July, my GT2 updated, I'm guessing to the 4.0.4 version. I say "guessing" because I noticed lots of changes then, such as the new keyboard, changes to the bookmarks page (which is now horrible), etc., but I never looked at the version number. This morning, my device updated again, but I can't figure out what, exactly, was updated. Nothing appears to be different. I looked and it is running 4.0.4, but like I said, I think that was updated last month. So what was updated today? Did this happen to anyone else? Does anyone know what was updated, or where I can go to find out? And how in the heck do I get the keyboard to STOP changing the words I'm typing?!?! Soooooo frustrating! Thank you!

Might have been update GL5 they have been pushing it out. I dont know if there are any official notes on GL5 but the big thing I noticed was my Tablet seems to be running better and my Wi-Fi Signal is a little stronger.
As far as turning off Auto Correct on words
Go to
Settings
Language and input
Click the Cog next to Samsung Keyboard
That will bring up a Samsung Keyboard Settings window
disable Predictive Text (its turned on by default)
That should disable it auto changing words for you
