Folks,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Spica on Rogers / Fido (Canada). It is working fairly well but locks up on occasion (requiring a battery pull to restart) and some applications, notably the camera and the SMS messaging app, are very sluggish.
Wondering if I have anything to gain by updating the phone firmware further. Looking for improved performance / battery life, better touch-screen sensitivity if possible, and more stability. If so, where should I start? Obviously without bricking the phone.
Here are my current settings:
Model number: GT-I5700
Firmware version: 2.1-update1
Baseband version: I570EXXJD1
Kernel version: 2.6.29 root@SE-S608 #2
Build number: ECLAIR.XXJE4
Thanks in advance and Happy New Year.
