What's that little refresh symbol?

It sometimes appears up top to the left of the signal bars and eventually goes away. Does't pop up very often.

It's the symbol that something is synchronizing. See: Settings > Accounts and sync
Some widgets (like weather, stock, news) also update on their own schedule.
