Root What's the risk of combining two build.props?

What risks am I facing if I attempt to combine CT Mod build.prop and Marky Beats build.prop?

Not much from what I understand. It's just that apps like Google Play and stuff will see your phone as running Marky Beats instead of CTMod. It will allow you to download apps that G Play normally wouldn't allow you to download with CTMod.

Just make absolutely sure that you make a CWM backup before you try it.

I'm sure that Blood or one of the other guys could break it down better for you but as for ill effects, I don't think their will be any. Guys do it over in the TF300T section of XDA every now and then.

EDIT:

If you're doing it so you can get an app from G play, you can change the build.prop back after you have downloaded and installed the app.

Well yea because on Marky beats I would play plants vs. Zombies but then on CT Mod it would say"this application is not authorized with your Android device" and bloodawn said to use the MB build.prop but I made my own build.prop by taking the missing phrases from MB in CT Mod. Idk what might happen that's why I asked and honestly I'm kind of scared to test it since I'm like an intermidiate with this stuff so yea and I'm not really a developer. I'm only an adolescent so yep

*update* my version of the build.props combined still gave the message when I play plants vs. Zombies and when I put the MB build.prop in, it causes a boot loop so I guess what's done is done then :/

Well have you tried it with Tdm's AOKP ROM yet?

Nevermind. Don't even sweat it man. I'm running Megatron and I just tried Plants vs Zombies and it will download. Give it about a week or less and you'll be able to use Megatron to run your game.

Not trying to ask for etas or anything, but seems like a decent amount of people are running megatron and was wondering if we can expect to see it soon? Seen it at work on the transform and am really anxious to try it...

There are actually only a few of us running it. We are the testers. Once the dev's of MegaTron have all the bugs and cosmetic details taken care of it will be released. It honestly shouldn't be too much longer.
