What's the SD difference

My S3 has an App called "My Files", this in turn shows I have --

extSdCard (11 items) and sdcard (24 items)

I assume one is my 32G micro-SD card, if so what/where is the other ?

Thanks for that clear note.

Now if it really is an internal SD card, and not just a memory chip - I do wonder if it is changeable - and easy/difficult to do so ?

No. Its eMMC which means its embedded flash memory that takes on the properties of MMC (multimedia card) without actually or physically being one

/sdcard is just a mount point of a partition on the eMMC that is named the same as the microsd card is in other devices so you can get away with not buying one

It's not an actual card.

A lot of it is terminology as /sdcard is referred to as internal sd, but its a partition of the built in memory so its not truly an sdcard in itself.

Android expects to find something at /sdcard.

On conventional phones, that points to an actual card.

On extended storage phones like this one, it's simply a partition of the built in storage chip.

Ok guys - last question on this thread - does the S3 have any problems with using a 64G SD card ? I do a lot of video, so would prefer to use the biggest possible SD card.
