What's the STAR icon mean?

I suddenly see a new icon on the right side of my notification bar, where the time and signal indicator reside. This is a solid white star. Any clues on what this is? Thanks!

That may be an LTE signal..

The star means priority notifications

Hit a volume up or down and tap the all icon to disable. You can set priority notifications in settings bit generally can be used overnight or meetings for instance to stop disturbances other than calls from important contacts.
Alarms will remain on with priority notifications so no worries about not being woken up!
