What's the weather like where you are?

We had a brown Christmas here in MN, temps were in the 30s & no snow was on the ground because anything we had gotten didn't stay, due to the unusual warmth.

But December 26th we got a dusting of snow, & now temps have dropped with highs only forecasted to be in the 20s, with a chance of 3-6 inches of snow today. Tomorrow night we're supposed to get another 6-10 inches of new snow.

Brown Christmas here also, this morning we now have a back forth mix of Lots of Snow, then wash it all away before it can build up much.... raining again.....

Then we get the big Snow Flurry and watch the ground turn white..... all the while the Flood Waters are still merrily flowing down across our back 40

This is two evenings ago.....

This is yesterday afternoon, when the clouds pulled back enough to allow me outside

Ac
Is that a road or a creek?

Actually, that is just a shallow dip in my yard, and I mow it with my 48" lawn tractor during green grass seasons...
when it is running 4 feet wide, it is about 6 inches deep... something like that, never waded into the middle of it, because the ground is so soft, I would sink down 3 inches at least when it is that wet. I don't even dare to run my golf cart over wet grass, it gets stuck in a hurry.... it has six huge 6 volt batteries in it, and gawd awful heavy....
You saw it with a trailer hooked to the back of it..... I had just made a run around the 5+ acres to pick up downed limbs and tree trunks from the wind storm that came thru recently. That golf cart and trailer are a godsend to me.
It is parked in the driveway at the moment, so the Battery Charger cable can reach it.

I just got a call from my friend up the road about 4 miles north of me.

He built a huge iron cross out of 12 inch I-beams. Main beam is 30 ft tall, the cross part is 12 ft wide.
He said that the winds that blew through here last night laid the cross flat down on the ground.

12 inch I-Beam is really tough stuff, but it is bent like a pretzel.

We only got a couple inches of snow, it would be prettier if it wasn't so cloudy.

First time here, since they started measuring in 1909, that we haven't had any freezing temps in December.

we are almost down to freezing here for the 1st time this year.
Currently 32.2° on my Digital Thermometer

This morning on the news, the weatherman said our December 2015 in MN is the warmest on record here since 1959.

At least we did finally get a couple inches of snow, but it'll be interesting to see what happens in January.
