What's the weather like where you are?

It's been a bugger here in Kansas, yes. It's 92 as I type with 56% humidity. That's crazy for mid September.... even brutal. Keep in mind that I run a lawn service in my spare time. I mow four to five lawns every night after work and many on the weekends. Many of my yards are fescue but plenty of them are bermuda. Normally, by this time of year, the bermuda lawns are all but dormant. That works great for me for the days are getting shorter and I don't have the light to mow late into the night. BUT, not this year.... no sir. All the grass is still growing like crazy and I'm struggling to keep my lawns mowed. Too much rain and way warm temps are about to kill me. Bring me some fall.. please.

Turning colder here. I think next week I'll be digging the fleece out of the wardrobe.

Well, it is 3:40 a.m. and almost the time the moon is supposed to be bigger, brighter, and closer 'to me' than ever before in my life....

it is supposed to be best just before dawn, but yawn, that is not going to be viewable for me, as the clouds are coming, and I won't be awake to see it anyway..... if mother nature had not called, this pix would not have been taken.

Frigid air mass building in Alaska, poised to spill into Lower 48 next week

Alaska is witnessing its coldest air in almost two years, and some of the biting chill is forecast to plunge into the western United States in about a week’s time.

In Fairbanks on Tuesday morning, the temperature tanked to minus-31 degrees, ending a 624-day stretch in which it was warmer than that — the second longest on record. Tuesday afternoon, the mercury only recovered to minus-21, ending a record-long 658-day stretch with highs above minus-10.

It's currently 40° in Pismo Beach, and I have a bad battery in the trailer, so it's only slightly warmer than that inside...

YAYYY it's FINALLY raining here! Water... from the sky!

Now I just hope and pray that this rain moves east toward Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the rest of Sevier County. As much as we need the rain, they need it a LOT more.

:(

So our weather will be wet and cool, highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s, until Wednesday. Thursday the bottom falls out with highs in the 30s and lows in the teens! BRRRRRR
