30° isn't really that low, we get worse in the winter sometimes down to 8 or lower

That's just the beginning. supposed to get down to 19 (f) tonight. We have had mornings this winter in the -8 degree range with wind chills in the negative teens. We know cold, not northern Minnesota cold, not Siberia cold, not northern Maine cold but .... you get the idea.
Anyway, it always sucks worse coming off several "nice" days to hit cold rain just above freezing.
BOO.
EDIT - that picture was taken in Chicago I believe, this winter.

Vastly ahead of schedule the temperatures have dropped like a lead balloon. Currently 34 degrees (F) so we have lost 30+ degrees in 5 hours.

It's 52 and going up to 60. Tomorrow will be in the low 70's. I live in NY, it's February. Or so I thought.
I didn't wear a jacket to work today.
One of my employees is going to the beach to walk around tomorrow.

I had one of those freaky thunder and lightning freezing rain and sleet and snow mornings. Made the commute interesting with a quarter inch or so of ice covered in sleet and snow on the highways. Less than two inches total but way slick.
I've said it a million times, I'll take two feet of snow over a 1/4" of ice.
My wife's car sits outside. School was called off so she didn't have to work today. However, there is no getting into her car. I think she has tomorrow off as well.
Ice just sucks.
After we break all sorts of heat records tomorrow it's going to get cold again. Just as the precipitation moves in, so a nice layer of freezing rain then sleet then a few inches of snow.

I wish we would get more snow, we didn't get much but my family doesn't. I also kind of don't because the weather is getting to be more like spring for some reason...
I missed snow all over every car in the streets. It was called "The Blizzard of '78" in Boston MA. I was in Homestead FL grilling meat. Good Times!
