Hey everyone,
The name's ackenk. I'm currently a student who owns an HTC Evo 4G. Little did I know that upgrading the phone would ruin root (for now). I have read quite a bit from these forums and figured it would be best to get in on the discussions rather than sit by and continue to only observe. Hopefully they will find a solution to the 2.3.3 issue, but for now I hope to learn all that I can.

I don't know if there's any definitive root method for the EVO with 2.3.3. I have read sporadic success rates using Gingerbreak, but as always proceed at your own (pissibly extreme) risk.
