Whats your average battery life?

I can charge mine all night and it will be around 5-10% before I go to bed if I use my phone for maybe an hour or so for browsing/texting. Is this typical battery life or do I have a dud?

Also, whats you average battery life?

I charge mine on and off throughout the day, but if I go to sleep with it unplugged at 100% it will still be at or almost at 100% when I wake up.

I unplug mine at 530am and plug it up about 9pm. With light use it's usually about 30 to 40% or with heavy use about dead.

FWIU, lithium-ion batteries (in the Optimus Elite) should never be charged overnight. Once it's fully charged, yet continuing to charge, will have a negative effect on the battery life/performance.

It would be better to time how long it takes on average to charge from x% to full. Then when you go to charge from that % on a regular basis, check back on the phone status to see when it hits 100%. A charge really doesn't take that long with this phone.

If you are concerned about burning some battery on your already charged phone while you are asleep, you can disable data/blue tooth/wireless.

But partial charges on lithium-ion batteries can be done without issue.

No, they are fine to charge overnight. This is an ol school of thought on lion tech. Keep the battery cool and don't let it sit discharged or fully charged too long and she'll be fine.
And by too long i mean like a week

I left my Optimus V plugged in every night for about a year with no noticeable effect on battery life. I doubt this is harmful. Leaving it plugged in constantly would be, though.

Mine lasts all day with light to moderate use. My battery icon almost never turns yellow, Most nights I have 40-50% battery left when I plug it in at bedtime.

Of course, do what you want...just fyi.

The info about lithium-ion batteries is on the net.
I won't be charging overnight.

The chargers are supposed to shut off once the battery is fully charged. I think it's okay to leave it plugged in overnight. Im going to do a little research, get some proof...

Yes is states online not to overcharge or over dishcharge l-ion batteries... but if I'm not mistaken phones have a built in charging cicuit that shuts off charge when battery is full. This is also why phones shut themselves off when battery is low instead aof the battery running dead

my phone makes it through the day no problem, though to be fair i don't talk on it a lot.
the other day i had it on battery for 13 hours and it only went down to 48%. i spent most of the day facebooking/tumblring on a wifi connection, but there were pictures taken and a few calls made, though none longer than a few minutes. i was amazed, especially after the 3 hour battery life of the turd of a samsung intercept i had.
