The hardware quality and app store of an iPhone, running Palm's webOS, with a network footprint of Verizon, with the 3G speed of T-Mobile's HSPA+, with Sprint's plan prices and features, all running on T-Mobile which has the lowest percentage of dropped calls in the US ...and is GSM instead of CDMA. Okay engineers, get to gettin!

Something a little bit different:

1. Compact size, 3" screen (or even 2.8") - whole device roughly the size of a credit card in terms of face dimensions

2. Physical Home, Menu and Back buttons. No pointless trackball and search buttons cluttering up the device.

3. High quality 5-8mp camera on the back of the device. No bullshit high megapixel count that is meaningless, with a LARGE sensor inside that's actually capable of capturing all that data, and able to capture in low light with higher exposures.

4. Xenon flash AND LED light. Yes BOTH! Both have their advantages. But at least Xenon flash.

5. OPTICAL ZOOM! Nothing special, just a 3x zoom that maybe pulls the lens out 5mm or so, yes it will add bulk but I don't care! If the phone is 1cm thick but still compact elswhere, I'll be perfectly happy with that.

6. High quality Digital to Analogue converters and amplifier behind a 3.5mm audio jack. No nasty, compromised sound quality. Give me something AT LEAST as good as the sound quality you would expect from a Cowon MP3 player.

Basically, I'm after a compact point and shoot camera that happens to run android and can make phone calls and you can listen to music on :)

I already got it. It's my HTC Desire.

There's nothing that I can think of right now that I would want as a major upgrade. So not trivial things like faster/more storage. I'm talking real upgrades.

Like from the days of the RAZR and such to nowadays with brilliant Smartphone OS.

Ah that is genuis.

But on the note of Camera flash's..what is Xenon and why is it so great?

An Android phone with the exact dimensions of the iPhone 4, except with a screen that covers more of it on the front.

Only two physical keys, menu and back, where holding menu activates search, and holding back mimics pushing home. Also during standby and during calls, the same two physical keys mimic starting/answering a call and hanging up.

A battery that lasts two days with heavy usage, and fully charges in less than one hour.

Two cameras on either side with flash for both of them.

A docking station that provides a keyboard, a mouse, and a monitor for using the phone as a desktop when desired.

The phone functions as my credit cards, my driving license, my insurance card, and my house and work keys, and my car keys too!

Certain features of the phone (like my banking app, etc) are accessible only to me, through face recognition using the front facing camera.

The phone is completely open and rooted, out of the box.
