Help What's your GPS accuracy without data network ?

My GPS without data network can't get better than accuracy of 2500 m. I'm wondering, weather it's a hardware issue or not ?

Simply tap on the arrow in Maps app.

Just got 50 m accuracy without wifi and dataconnections indoors, in about 40 - 60 seconds, hope it's good.

Does anybody know, is it possible to get perfect position on galaxy s2 just with GPS on ?
 
Im indoors with only GPS ticked! No wifi or networks! Search market for GPS Status! It will give you all info you need:)

That's cheating! :D

GPS Status is using it's last fix whilst data connected to help increase your accuracy and time. However, if you moved to an entirely different location, it would be another story. :)
 
Anyway, I have another map program for Norway, and get the same accuracy without wifi and network, but gps status is a lovely program with lots of info
 
10 meters with GPS, data and wifi.
30 meters with GPS and wifi.
40 meters with GPS alone.

How does wifi make a difference though?

Yeah, thats OK, bat I'm pretty sure that if you restart your phone and then try to launch gps alone, the history will be deleted from maps and gps signal will come much slower and not so accurate. Probably in place without data signal, somewhere in the dessert , gps would cach the satelites in 5-10 minutes :D
 
Dont think so! As long as you get a fix on at least 4-5 sats, you get good accuracy within 30 secs, at least outdoors! Anyway, my gps improved a lot after updating to 2.3.4!
 
I didn't know the phone uses previous histories. I get a very quick lock too.

I just got 5 meters using just the GPS alone!!, but I am moving around outside.

With nothing but the cellular antenna it's 2300 meters.
