What's your next phone?

First, I have to say I've been more happy with my Galaxy S5 than I have with any other smart phone I've ever owned. It's been the most durable, the least glitchy, and battery life has remained reasonable throughout my ownership of the phone.

This being said, I'm eligible for an upgrade on November 1st and I'm always itching to get a new phone. I'm just wondering what other S5 owners have their eye on. The S6? Waiting for the S7? Maybe one of the new Nexus phones? Perhaps something else?

I'm waiting for the Nexus 6p to drop in price then I think that's my next purchase. In the meantime I've put CM12.1 on my S5 and its given it a new lease of life :)

My wife and I have the S5, been very happy with them.

However, when my daughter's Lumia Windows phone went wonky immediately after a MS security update.... she said it is time to go Android.

since she watches a lot of movies and listens to audio books, I chose the HTC One M9 for her.
Simply because it is new technology, huge SDcard capability, and has two very audible speakers on the FRONT of it.

Personally, I do NOT like the feel of it in my hands, the back is curved and it wobbles when you lay it on a flat surface.
makes typing SMS impossible w/o using two hands... one to stabilize it.

she don't care, it is going to get a purple case with butterflies on it anyway :)

Well, it's NOT going to be a new Samsung phone! Why? Because they discontinued two features I really like: (1) removable battery, (2) micro SD card for extra storage. And yeah, I know others have done this too, which is why I'm looking at the new LG phones.

I'm getting the Nexus 6. Need something straight from Google now. Its gonna hurt me a bit letting go of removable batter and expandable storage, but I've done some research and there is some things I can do to get around that.

+1 on this, in my humble opinion Samsung have shot themselves in the foot on this one, and following the Internet on this subject it appears we are far from the only ones. I am waiting for the LG G4 Pro to be announced in the UK and will probably jump ship to LG after many years of Samsung ownership. Phil

My S5 was a year old in August and I really didn't like it. Had LG's before this and prefer them better so ditched it in August and went to the LG G4 and I am much happer. I prefer LG's little back up app that backs up settings and all in one nice little file I can store on the SD card. I couldn't find a way to do that with my S5 and when something happened I was able to reload my contacts and things but had to reconfigure all my settings again so was not happy. Mary
