Whatsapp help

I have a Samsung galaxy S2 I have just put whatsapp on there an I want to send my friend a picture of my dog but I can't find how to attach it I took the picture on my phone so it is in the phone gallery any help please
 
If you open the chat window in whatsapp, select the contact you want to chat with, hit the menu button, you should get an option to attach.

If you want to do it from the gallery, find the pic you want, long press it, select Share, then whatsapp.

Either of those should do it. :)
