WhatsApp incompatibility?

WhatsApp will not install on my 10.1 -- is this a WhatsApp, Honeycomb, 10.1 or service provider issue?

Do I need to root the tablet before I can install WhatsApp?

It's an app for phones. The Tab 10.1 doesn't have phone capability. At least, that's my understanding of why it won't install!

You can use HeyWire on tablets- it's free international texting app-app and to phones and computers- try it out, and see if that works
