For how long will this model be supported by WhatsApp?

iWhatsApp is pretty popular, but keep in mind the honor 4x was released in 2014. so its hard to say for how long it will continue to be supported. you can try and contact the developers and see if they reply with an answer. my guess will be for at least another few years. but each time there is a new android os, the chance of continued support goes down.

According to WhatsApp's Play Store page, the current version of its app will run any Android version even going back as far as 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
