Help whatsapp

i deleted my whatsapp tonight as it wasn't working not realising it was down, and re-installed it. i type my number in and click next that's fine, however when it gets to the profile and i click next, it says initializing then says it can't connect. help!!!

I've sent and received a whats app this morning if that helps at all so guess its working at the mo (9 am UK time).
