So wait are you guys saying 2.1 official may actually be coming to tmo behold 2 by summer? Would it have twiz? I hope not lol

I would imagine it would have the upgraded version of twiz, twiz 3.0 and Android 2.1 just like the Samsung M100S for South Korea.
 
HA, I love how people are jumping on the HTC EVO. Nobody has used a phone on the 4G network yet and the last big HTC release (Nexus 1) was a complete disaster.

Maybe you should go read an HTC forum before you spam a Samsung forum.
 
Actually there is the eris, the incredible, the hd2, all htc all awesome. Nexus is the google phone!!!! It was only manufactured by htc and not really supported by them, it is googles phone!! And how the hell is someone stating their opinion spamming!? What's your problem today guy? Cause you've been kinda acting like a douche today...which really isn't like you at all. Something wrong?
 
Don't hold your breath. We'll be LUCKY if we get a Leak from a T-mo CSR telling a date (from their Computer Screen) that will be Painfully and Slower than the Molasses in January sent ota to random customers only to have the DL not succeed. And then wait for some Gracious Soul to Pull the files and make an Odin file. This was how it was for the MINOR bug fix a couple months back. My money is on BH_MAN to get a 2.1 out before Samsung. Sad that a guy doing this out of his own love for Android and the Behold 2 is accomplishing more than the PAID Engineers @ Samsung.

Hey guys, look at this graph from Android.com. What we are looking at here is a "Device Traget". As we can see 1.1 was the starter and now 2.0 and 2.0.1 was the bridge to 2.1. Well, what does all this mean? IT is individuals like BH Man that has a love and connections that help with the development. Here's a real life deal. Sammy (Samsung) is very aware of BH Man and his work, but do you think they are going to do something about it? HELL no! They are getting a free engineer. We would all be fools to think that Sammy is just sitting back and deveolping new toys and ideas. When in reality, the work that BH Man does gets back to them for there engineers to reverse engineer and see how it was done. Granted there are engineers that do actually work for Sammy. But the catch is, Sammy will not realease some of there propritory stuff. This is a smart business move. All in all Sammy devices are good, in fact very good. Sammy will release the codes needed later when the market share of 1.6, and 1.5 devices slows down.

AS for the rumors about releasing an update. If it does not come from Sammy or an OTA dont listen. Sammy does not want to loose any customers and that is exactly what will happen if they do not give a little. But again, look at the market share. 1.5 and 1.6 is the biggest combined. 4G has not come out yet and is still in the experimental stage. Why drop a entire 2 markets to get the latest and greatest operating system? So help support BH Man and all his outstanding work, Give him a few dollars (buying a beer) from what I have seen in the forums, he will not let it rest. He needs our support big time!

Oh by the way, keep the complaining down to a minimum. It is most likely your applications or device settings causing your issues. Not what BH Man has done.

The Eris stuck on 1.5? With more major bugs than the BH2? Well anyway this forum has basically become a waste of space with people complaining about everything, from BH_MAN not working hard enough or how people who choose the wrong ROM, or ODIN not working or ADB not working or in case you didn't know vibrate is not working on the galaxy ROMs. And all of the people who complain about the phone. If you don't like it, go out and buy another phone. If you want to discuss the merits of all phones, go to Android News & Talk Forum, this forum is for discussion of Behold 2, not HTC phones.

This is exactly why I enjoyed blackberryforums over crackberry forums when I had a Blackberry. The discussion was always on point and it was easy to get real answers. And anyone who wanted to discuss other phones knew where to go.

And while I'm at it, and since nobody seems to care if its been written before, BH_MAN will not have a fully working 2.1 ROM before Samsung releases their version. They have refused to release software needed to build a working 2.1 ROM. But Samsung has stated recently that they are working on 2.1 (1.6 w/TWiz is directly from Samsung). And it won't be reverse engineered from a BH_MAN ROM, even though he deserves some recognition.

Sorry if you think I sound like a douche, but I just don't want the only active BH2 forum to go to waste.
 
so if the 2.1 comes out for the behold 2 on here will i have to root with the ones before that one or could i just do that

first of all i'm not trying to start a flaming war...in fact i freely point out and admit that you are a great member on this forum. I just think that treating people like shit is not the way to defend the integrity of this forum.

BTW this IS an android forum...all android devices! this is merely a sub forum of the total android forums! i agree with you that some threads are getting out of hand but c'mon guy lets rise above it. i appreciate your's and everyone's contributions to our GREAT forum! lets just keep it civil. i admit that i too at times get carried away and say rude things, but none of us should treat each other that way! myself included! really i ment no offense i thought there might have been something else bothering you and maybe you were just venting at people...i guess not though. my bad. just try to put yourself in other peoples shoes and i will agree to do the same. ONE LOVE!

Hold on to that thought until next week... Me & barak is try to Build 2.1 using Proprietary Drivers from the bold 2... So there is High hope for 2.1, but a truly working 2.1 no..

You can just update to the latest. You shouldn't need to go through each version.

So similar to the Galaxy 1.6? ALMOST all the features, but not quite?
 
I spoke to a higher level CSR at TMO today, he claimed they will start their overall OS 2.1 updates after the release of the MT3GS (the mytouch with keyboard). But I guess that really isn't news.

Well it was unheard of for me so I consider that news... I wonder if it would be BH2 1st or motorola or maybe mt3g and g1 1st.....
